When I first saw this top, I knew I had to have it. There is something about the colors that really draw you in — every time I am rummaging through my closet with no clear path on what I want to put on, I tend to gravitate towards the colors in this floral. I love that it lays on a black ground so I can pair it back to denim, leather shorts, skirts, basically everything. It also makes it extremely transitional for pre spring as well as pre fall.
I decided to ‘spring it up’ a bit with these faux leather track shorts I got from Zara years ago. As some of you may know, I am an AVID Zara shopper. I knew these would be a perfect addition to the wardrobe and they have come in handy on so many occasions. I wouldn’t be afraid of leather in the Spring… I think so many girls gravitate towards leather jackets and don’t realize they can still wear leather shorts and skirts when the temps start going up. My piece of advice would be to pair it with something light weight and springy to sort of taper down the ‘heaviness’ of the leather. Case in point: my floral Equipment blouse which brightens everything up with pops of purple, yellow, and pink. I would easily dress this outfit up with a fun colored pump and some bold earrings for a night out.
