Happy Almost Christmas and New Years! I wanted to leave you guys with a quick post before the holidays hit as I will be traveling and the next time I update Blake and Gold will be 2016! With that being said, I will be updating Instagram all throughout my vacation.

Whenever New Years comes around I instantly begin to think of sparkles, sequins and some shine. I guess growing up it was always a big fashion moment to find a great New Years Eve dress (specifically something with sequins) to ring in the festivities. I still feel like it is festive to wear something with some sparkle and also a ton of fun. In my eyes… metallic does the trick. I purchased my Equipment metallic silver blouse years ago (not with New Years on my mind) and figured I would bring it out from the back of my closet and pair it with some staple items (i.e. black velvet shorts and blazer.) Of course this blouse is very bold and definitely does all the talking but when its New Years I figured why not add the extra OTK boots and layered necklaces to really ring in 2016. What do you guys think?! I kind of love how this outfit could easily transition for any night out (possibly with tights) but also has the right amount of sparkle and glitz to remain very “NYE.” Sometimes it is fun to go against the typical dress and/or skirt look and throw on an amazing blazer, fun shorts and that one wow piece that really ties it all together. What are you guys all wearing for NYE?!
