I can’t believe it is officially July! Once July 4th hits, I feel like the summer begins, yet also flies by at the same time. The city gets so extremely warm so I am always trying to find the best way to look fashionable, but stay cool. Hallie and I got together on a Friday and shot a bunch of looks (also happens to be the day of my surprise engagement!) This look was shot right before the big surprise, do I look calm?! Hah, I guess I keep referencing these images to bring myself back to the moment!
Central Park was buzzing with people so it was so nice and refreshing to find a small corner of greenery that was quiet and calm. I absolutely love how everything came out – such a summery look set among the prettiest backdrop. All of the blue hues from my bag, skirt, and denim vest work perfectly together. There is nothing easier then a cute a-line mini skirt…. I wear them all the time. Whether it be with a tee shirt and sneakers, flat sandals and a collared button down, or styled a little dressier with heels and a crop top – one of the best pieces of advice I could give would be to invest in a few great skirts because they allow you to style so many different outfits.
