Velvet Dream - Blake & Gold

Happy Monday! Hope everybody had a nice relaxing weekend. We just spent some time with family and friends and I finally had a hair trial for the wedding! So happy to have that all finished. I feel really good about what we chose so you will all have to stay tuned to see how it comes out!

Now…. my outfit. Hello Velvet Dream!!!!!!! Velvet has been such a huge trend all fall/winter and I feel will continue through the Spring/Summer in select colors and categories. I definitely went a little overboard this season between my velvet flat obsession and now my velvet suit but I really feel like the fabric is so ultra posh and chic that there is no way to over do it. I actually wore these Joie Velvet Pants on NYE with some more jewels but I love how I was able to dress it down yet remain tailored and chic for this look. MONDAY MOTIVATION

I don’t know about you guys but I recently scooped up a copy of Aimee Song’s new book, Capture your Style and I think I read it in two days. If you follow me on snap you probably noticed I was up super early yesterday and couldn’t resist starting my morning off with some inspiration from one of the most inspiring. This book is pretty much my 2017 motivation, but I had to share it with all of you today. There are so many amazing lessons, tips, tricks, and overall goals within each chapter and every page. I only could DREAM that I am able to build Blake and Gold to be the empire that Song of Style is right now. I guess a girl can dream…! Pick up a copy of this legendary book here. You will thank me!
