Hi Guys! I’m officially back in action and a Mrs.!! Can’t believe how crazy the past few weeks & months have been…. there are no words to really describe how I feel right now. I’m thinking of putting together a post on everything pertaining to the wedding, rehearsal dinner, planning etc. so please let me know if you’d be interested and I will start drafting something up. I put a little sneak peek on my Instagram from the wedding and you can view more photos from our big day by clicking here. I’m still waiting on all the photos and videos so I promise to keep everyone updated!
I have to say, planning a wedding is NOT easy. Some people absolutely love it, but I can’t lie – I’m pretty happy to say it is officially behind us and we can now move forward and start our life together. There are so many exciting things ahead and I can’t wait to share everything with you. I have to apologize because I feel like I haven’t been as dedicated with posting and keeping up with everything Blake and Gold related. I hate using excuses but I promise to get back on my A Game this summer. I have so many new pieces and fun tips and tricks to share so I am slowly trying to get back into the groove of everything, including work, so bear with me.
Although the Fourth of July is over (and ours was so nice after coming back from our mini moon in Turks & Caicos we just spent the last few days with family before heading back to the city and returning to reality… We are going on a two week honeymoon this Fall which I am counting down the days for!) I still love the colors red, white, and blue. The 4th always reminds me of my childhood days at sleep away camp and celebrating Miss. Firecracker with all of my best friends. The colors are so ‘all American’ and always give me that nostalgic feeling I yearn to achieve when it comes to pairing looks together. So yes, the 4th of July is officially over but who made the rules you can’t rock those colors all summer long? They pair so nicely together and scream Summer in my eyes…
I actually shot this look before my wedding so I was extra pale and extra stressed (which you can tell so evidently through my hair in its natural wavy form 😉 but I couldn’t resist pairing this red, white, and blue look together. I was browsing at The Gap and really was surprised to find so many cute pieces. Their price points are just right and I fell in love with so many of their lightweight and easy Summer staples. First being this adorable crochet tank (which would easily look just as cute with jeans or cut offs) and the most affordable (and comfortable) pair of white culottes which will take me through the entire Summer. The best part is, my entire look is on MAJOR sale! I tagged everything below 🙂
