The Highline

I don’t know how to explain it but there is such an iconic New York feeling you get when you head down to The Highline. I’m not sure whether it is the concrete walls and beams, views of the water, or simply just the energy of all the people… whatever it is, I love it. I’m not normally in that neighborhood as it is pretty far from my apartment but I decided to heard down for an impromptu shoot as well as some shopping. 

The one thing I have learned is that it is key to make sure you are comfortable when running all around the city. One of the best purchases I have made is my cashmere Theory V Neck sweater. I tend to prefer over sized things but I purposely bought this sweater extremely over sized. I wanted it to pair easily with leggings and/or skinny jeans, just a basic throw on to have forever. It wasn’t the chilliest day so I made sure to just layer with my faux shearling vest from Forever 21… can you believe this vest is only $42.90? In person, this vest does not look like it is under $50. Trust me. The fabric, faux fur, rocker vibe is on trend and you can’t beat the price. 

The vibe of the outfit actually fit perfectly amongst the backdrop Hallie chose for us to shoot against. The industrial feel of the location lends itself to a black/grey tonal outfit. Anyway, it is going to be a short week (yay!) as it is Thanksgiving but stay tuned as I have a ton of great stuff for you guys to see!
