My boyfriend and I went to Red Rooster in Harlem for dinner the other weekend… has anyone ever been? If not, I highly recommend trying it — such a fun, ethnic experience. The food was amazing and after dinner the downstairs turns into an amazing jazz club. I had to put an outfit together that would allow me to eat comfortably (yes, there is a lot of fried chicken involved) but also transition into something fun to go out in.
I knew I wanted to incorporate ripped jeans so I decided to pair my Current Elliott Tattered Destroy Skinny’s with this amazing twofer. This plaid shirt/grey tee combo came straight from Forever 21… amazing find! The best part is the plaid is connected only at the bottom of the cropped tee so it keeps it very light weight. Here is a little tip for all those girls who are petite (like me!) and hate tailoring their jeans… cut the bottom yourself, wash, and wear!
To finish off the look, I added my Zara dove grey booties. I had to purchase them in two colors I am so obsessed with them. They are so comfortable and the dove grey is neutral enough that it works with anything. My Joie sterling grey leather jacket was the final touch as it is getting chilly in New York.
As always, thank you for reading! Xx

I'm just worried that all that flour and bread-crumb covered, fried chicken would hurt your gluten free stomach. Were you ok? Please I need to know…
