White Lace

Being that Memorial Day Weekend is coming up, I really start to feel like the summer is officially here. I have so many memories of growing up and attending tons of family BBQs and get togethers, always styled in white. Everyone knows that famous ‘don’t wear white before labor day’ rule (which I definitely do not abide by) but when it came to my Joie Bittern Dress, I felt it was only worthwhile to wear it over the summer.I have been eyeing this piece in my closet for a few months (I purchased it very prematurely in January) and have been so excited to style it. This is the most versatile white lace dress, perfect for the summer. I can already envision it with cute flats and a vest or dressed up like I styled it for this shoot. I decided to pair down the feminine frill and lace and add my Asos double buckle belt (exact dupe for the more expensive B-low the belt version)

White lace is something that really needs to be refreshed year after year. White never stays well over time and delicate lace is of course very perishable. I can’t wait to start styling all of my white pieces that I’ve been holding out on – stay tuned!
