So I knew when I started planning February posts, I had to include my Equipment Heart Print Silk Blouse (last seen here.) I wanted to reinvent the top in some way, do something a little bit different… SO I went ahead and realized I chose two cute outfits and decided to do a little ‘how to wear this shirt two ways/happy valentines day post!’ I love the mixing of the prints between the crochet lace skirt and the dainty heart print on my blouse. The nude lining of my skirt actually picked up perfectly against the blush backdrop of my blouse. I guess there are definite ‘signs of Blake and Gold’ present in both – i.e.) my fur vest + jacket, leather pants, beanie, rockstuds, etc… I clearly gravitate towards certain pieces 🙂
The best part about both looks are that so many pieces in your everyday wardrobe can and should be worn multiple ways! I find so many friends buy something so gorgeous and invest so much… yet never re-wear and reinvent it. Equipment is one of my favorite brands for a few reasons. Not only are their blouses made beautifully but, they range from classic to funky and there really are so many versatile ways to put together so many outfits with just one core item. I also have to say I need to do a better job at re-wearing pieces that I love and will definitely make it a point to do so this year!
On another note, does anyone have fun Valentine’s Day plans? I am a sucker for the holiday and I love everything pink, red, and girly (as if any girl doesn’t?!) Jason and I are going to dinner at one of our favorite restaurants and relaxing… perfect weekend in my book. NYFW kicks off today and I will definitely be scouring all of the shows for some F/W ’16 inspo. Keep an eye out on my Instagram all week long as I will definitely be posting some favorites. x A
