It has been fairly cold in New York the past few days and while I have loved wearing my leather jackets and scarves, today we are seeing a slight glimpse of Spring. This means one thing… time to break out a spring dress and do some layering.
I found this amazing Brandy Melville dress a while ago but they always continue to make very similar shapes in different prints and colors. This is by far the easiest thing to wear… layer it over a little camisole, throw on some booties, and you are done. I decided to add an easy over sized cardigan as it is not quite tank dress weather anymore and finish it off with some cute booties.
For those days when it is a tad cooler outside, wear this dress as a tunic. Throw it over very fitted leather pants and add a fun menswear inspired blazer OR mix it with ripped skinny jeans and layer it with a chunky cropped turtleneck so you still capture the fun frayed edges of the dress under the sweater. This piece is so versatile.
For anyone who is not familiar with this store, Brandy Melville is a hidden gem in New York (and online!) that I always turn to for basics. Everything in the store is one size fits all and the price points are unbeatable. Everything ranges from $20-$60 and they have the best cozy knits, light weight tanks, and easy dresses. Check out some of my favorite pieces here and here and here.
