Burgundy… by far my favorite color for the Fall. I love all rich gem tone hues but for some reason, burgundy is my go to. If you follow me on Instagram you probably noticed I can’t stop posting anything and everything in this color. I think its such a gorgeous shade on a brunette or a blond, works well with denim and complements every skin tone. I kind of went all out with this look and kept it monochrome, but played with textures. Lace, Satin, Cashmere… all play a role and work so well together. I love how the lace is a lighter feel under the cardigan, it instantly dresses up the entire outfit. Speaking of cardigans – they are coming back! I spotted this Madewell piece and I have not taken it off. This color layers so well over all of my plaid shirts and I love how I was able to dress it up for a night out with this look.
When figuring out what shoes to wear, I knew I wanted it to be something light but still fall-ish. I have my nude strappy sandals I could have worn but I wanted something with more substance. Booties would have been too heavy for this look. I paired my light blue Steve Madden sandals which I have gotten SO much use out of. The light indigo blue really complements the rich burgundy and I carried it through my choker as well.
If you follow me on Instagram (@ariannablake) or snapchat (@blakeandgold) you probably saw I had a really fun shoot yesterday, but didn’t reveal too much about it! Jason and I took our engagement pictures in Central Park and it was such a fun day. Hoping to include some in a future blog post, so stay tuned 🙂
