Happy Tuesday! It is currently FREEZING in New York and I’m kind of loving it. Finally having the opportunity to wear all of my winter scarves, accessories and chunky sweaters… (I kind of love when it is cold out, is that crazy?!) This year will be one of the first Jason and I are not going to spend Christmas with family in Florida so we are going to go on a little mini adventure close to home for the week. We will be back in time for NYE in the city with friends which leads me right into the topic of this post 🙂
As you guys know, I love mixing different textures and most importantly different price points. I had a vision in my mind this year centered around silver. I love building a look off of one key piece and layering on top of that. When I first came across this H&M Silver Skirt I was apprehensive, but willing to test it out. For $39.99 it was obviously something I couldn’t resist. It ended up being the perfect piece and exactly what I was looking for. I feel like this skirt can be dressed up or down, and is absolutely perfect for any upcoming holiday parties and/or NYE parties. I decided to keep it on the more casual side but dress things up with accessories (my favorite part!) This look would be JUST as fab with a great bodysuit and sequin jacket / or even a loose sequin camisole with a little half tuck in the front of the skirt. If you really wanted to transition this piece for everyday and go super casual I could see it with a cute leather jacket, white tee and sneakers.
I’m going to keep on posting some great NYE outfit guides and last minute holiday party guides all week so stay tuned! What are you all doing for New Years Eve? Any fun plans? Can’t wait to hear! x A
