Hi Guys! Happy Monday! I am SO sorry that I have been a bit MIA – work has been absolutely crazy (which I know is no excuse) but I’ve just been completely swamped and feel terrible my blog has been a bit neglected. I promise with the Spring approaching to get started on some new content.
Now — the fun part…. Who says you can’t rock color in the winter?! I absolutely LOVE this Donna Karan vintage skirt (thanks mom) for a few reasons. It complements navy which is one of my favorite colors that I definitely do not wear enough, the color is amaaazing and the wrap skirt style is something we are definitely going to be seeing more of this coming Fall. Majority of my look I found from the archives in my closet (isn’t it so fun to play around with old pieces and re-work them?) I love how I’m playing with texture, fabric, and color… yet my entire look is polished and modern. I only wish I could have found this exact skirt for you guys but I did spot this Topshop leather skirt which I am loving. Although it was absolutely freezing when I shot this look, color is something that I could not be more enthusiastic about. I feel like we all get into the drab of winter and look for black and grey but it really lifts your mood when you whip out something a little bright and fun. Although this was shot in the winter with booties and a turtleneck (yes, I probably should’ve had some tights on….) this outfit would be SO suitable for the Spring with a pair of cute slides and a white tee + jean jacket.
Although my outfit is not fully available exactly as photographed above, I have tagged some similar styles:
Jacket: Elizabeth & James / Turtleneck: J. Crew / Skirt: Vintage Donna Karan (Similar) / Booties: Joie / Sunnies: WildSoul (Similar) / Bag: Chanel
MONDAY MOTIVATION
I know it’s been a minute since I’ve shared my ‘monday motivation’ with you guys and I really apologize – Jason and I were traveling and then I got so consumed by work that I really did not have a second to post. I wanted to share one of my new favorite brands pura vida bracelets. They just launched their charity collection with one thought in mind – giving back. Pura Vida partnered with over 190 charities and they have donated more than $935,358 to date. They are also a member of 1% for the Planet, meaning they donate 1% of their annual net revenue to environmental organizations worldwide. I cannot wait to support such an amazing cause and keep styling my new bracelets (layering these adorable pieces is key!) More on my Instagram…
