Makeup in general has always been one of my favorite steps when it comes to getting dressed. Sometimes I hate putting on eye makeup (simply because there is nothing worse in my opinion then having to take it off!) so I just stick with a simple routine to get myself out the door. A little blush, concealer, and lipstick and I’m good to go! Lip color instantly enhances your entire look and makes you come alive. I find in the winter months looking so pale and worn that I just need a little boost of color to brighten my entire face. Over the summer, there is nothing chicer than a great tan, simple dewy skin and a pop on your lips.
Being that I have an olive complexion, my light pinks always are my go-to favorites but sometimes I like to be a bit adventurous and experiment with peachy oranges, deep reds, and even nudes. I tend to prefer matte lipsticks (yes, they are very on trend) but sometimes I do prefer a little bit of a glossy lipstick for extra shine and moisture.
I’d have to say out of everything my go to light pink which I wear on a day to day basis would be M.A.C. Creme Cup and Urban Decay Native. I dabble in M.A.C. Saint Germain if I have a nice tan, as well as M.A.C. Tropic Tonic. My all time favorite (and I personally think) the best matte red is M.A.C. Ruby Woo. I clearly have a favorite brand (hello M.A.C.) but I do love Smashbox’s Talk to me Matte for the best matte hot pink.
