Happy Friday! I officially have the busiest weekend starting off with a Halloween party (check out my instagram @ariannablake for a closer look at my costume) followed by a Saturday night wedding. On top of it all, I am feeling a little under the weather and trying to pull through. I decided to throw it back to the basics (with a twist) for some weekend inspiration.
What is more basic then jeans, a man tailored shirt, and a basic overcoat ? Classic, simple, timeless. I am far from a basic girl, I always like to dress my outfits up with accessories, leather, fur, prints, etc. so I wanted to change it up and give you my idea of basic.
My first stop for the best shirts is always Equipment. They never disappoint when it comes to finding that basic shirt every girl has to have in their closet. The colors, patterns, fabrics, and fit are the perfect compliment for your every day look. I wanted to update my look and really fell in love with this satin snakeskin button down… It is neutral enough where I can layer it under a printed sweater but it also is bold enough to stand alone with jeans. I decided to go neutral all around and pair it with my dove grey Zara booties and taupe Celine Trapeze tote. As per my usual self, I piled on some of my favorite gold accessories and topped it off with this neutral J.Crew hat. Not so basic anymore!
Hope everyone has a great Halloween weekend! What are you dressing up as?!
