For some reason, whenever the holidays come around I instantly think of black, white, lace and red. Lots of red. I wanted to put together a look that I knew would come in handy for any upcoming holiday parties– day or night – as well as something that is completely work appropriate for an office environment. Nothing screams holiday more (in my eyes) than black lace. It is also so classic that I feel every girl must own at least one item that is black lace. I purchased my Joie Elvia Lace blouse (which also comes in an amazing deep purple hue and ivory color) years ago and it always remains a staple in my closet. I typically wear it with a cami underneath but I wanted to change it up. I kind of love how it looks layered over my white Equipment blouse (yes, another staple everyone needs!) The subtle hints of white coming through the black lace really brightens up the entire look. Light pops of red from my lips, nails, and of course shoes make for the perfect compliment to my monochromatic look. Black fur (another necessity) added the perfect amount of lux and definitely tops it all off. All in all, I would say this is the perfect Christmas and/or holiday party outfit – so comfortable and so festive!Stay tuned all week for more posts + my take on the perfect NYE outfit! x A
