Finally catching back up after the long weekend! I spent Rosh Hashana with my family and friends and took a tiny (2 days, which seems like a lot in the blogging world) hiatus from my Instagram to just relax and disappear for a minute. It was honestly so refreshing! Now back to reality and getting back to my regular posting schedule.

Now that the weather is changing the time frame for wearing a shapeless dress like this Joie one is running out. Of course I would layer up with an oversized cardigan or leather jacket, but I just kept it pretty basic here. I also styled this same shape dress (in a different print and color palette) here. This happens to be one of my favorite styles when you have no idea what to throw on, but want to look put together at the same time. It is the most comfortable thing to wear because you don’t have to worry about one thing! Although it is shapeless, the proportions and movement of this dress make it so beautiful and effortless. Did I mention it is currently 25% off at Bloomies! They are also in the midst of their Friends & Family sale so I couldn’t resist buying some fall essentials.

Heres a quick rundown of what I ended up picking out: Velvet Jeans, like these from Rag and Bone for the Fall. Velvet is EVERYWHERE! so this is an easy way to incorporate it into your wardrobe. The best part, you will most likely wear jeans more than a top or jacket – so splurge on something that will become a staple in your wardrobe. I love everything fur, faux, fringe, feathered (as you guys know, my motto is ‘more is more.’) I couldn’t help but purchase this shaggy burnt red jacket, the price point is unmatchable and I figured it was a fun way to incorporate one of my favorite Fall colors. Lastly, this velvet slip dress – which I plan to wear with tights, booties and a tee shirt underneath is SO CUTE and so 90’s. I love the grunge factor, and it also throws in the velvet trend! Tons more in my wishlist, so I will keep you guys posted if I end up with anything else.
